$250 is just Deposit for your Half (1/2) of a Grass-Fed Steer
The cost is based on $4.50 per hanging weight (lbs.) plus processing at 85 cents per pound. $250 deposit is subtracted from total cost.​
($1,400 – $1,600 Total with Processing)

The butcher will contact you with a cut-list of what is available from your ½ or ¼ beef.
Steaks and roasts come cut to your requests as far as thickness and weight.
Ground beef is packaged by the lb.
